Denia

The City of Denia is located in the north-east region of the Alicante along the boundary of Costa Blanca. It lies between the city of Gandia in the northern part and Javea in the southern part.  The City of Denia is the most beautiful place to spend the holidays, especially in the summer season. Montgo Mountain is admired by the sailors and surfers in Denia, because of the wind pattern that provides stability to the water. The city of Denia is full of life and color which delights the visitors. There are many beautiful places for sightseeing, such as Castle of Denia, Museum of Ethnology, church of San Antonio and Asuncion, Toy museum, Seafront esplanade, Marques de Campo, Les rotes, Tower of Gerro, Ermita Conquista, El Trampoli, Fisherman’s quarters Les Roques and the Baix la Mar, La Cala etc. The Castillo or Castle built between the 11^th and the 12^th century is the one of the most of the attractive places for the tourists. This Castle provides a wonderful view of the sea, backlands and the city.

The City of Denia has many beautiful beaches all around. Some of the beaches are Les Deveses, Els Molins, Les Marines, L’Almadrava, Les Bovetes, Albaranas, La Marineta Cassiana, El Trampoli, La Cala, Arenetes and the Punta Raset. The tourists spend most of their time at these beaches, by sun bathing and playing different water games. There are many types of water sports which can be enjoyed by the tourists, such as sailing, diving, fishing and windsurfing. There are other sports activities also to entertain the tourists. The tourists have many options to choose according to their interests. The tourist interested in playing tennis and golf can play these games at any time of the day. Those interested in riding can go for horse riding in the plains and sit by the banks of beaches in the City of Denia. Even biking and karting can be enjoyed at various places in the city. The nature lovers can go for hiking in the beautiful mountains of the Denia.

In the City of Denia, the cultural events are held round the year. The mounted procession of the three wise men and the church of Santa Paula procession are held in the month of the January. The Fallas is held in the month of March and it is celebrated to reiterate the satirical monuments. Other events includes Fogueres of an Juan, Nuestra Senora de los Desamparados, Virgin del Rocio procession, Bous a la Mar (Bulls at the sea), San Augusti (Les Rotes), Tots Sants Fair, Moros y Cristianos (Moors and Christians) and the church of Saint Llucia procession. The city is well connected by the narrow railway, motorways and airways. Any mode of transportation can be taken to reach the wonderful city of Denia. There are many hotels and resorts in and around the wonderful city. Most of the rooms in the hotels are well equipped with modern amenities to serve the guests in a comfortable way.
